Biography
Joe Eisenmann is a diverse scholar-practitioner with 30 years of experience as a professor, researcher, sport scientist, coach educator, strength and conditioning coach, and youth sports coach. His general areas of scholarship focus on youth health and fitness, youth sports performance, and applied sports science. Eisenmann directed Spartan Performance at Michigan State University and has collaborated with USA Football, USA Hockey, and the English Premier League on their long-term athlete development models. He has also served as the head of strength and conditioning at IMG Academy. As a researcher, he has published 180 peer-reviewed scientific papers that have been cited nearly 20,000 times, which places him in the 99th percentile of the world’s scientists and leaders in sport science.
